A wide range of signal processing techniques have been developed to utilize those signals in different fields. This often requires peak-detection of a signal which has been done by applying different techniques. This paper presents a simple algorithm for peak-detection of a signal using concept of half-wave rectification of signal followed by R-load and C filtering. Instead of constructing actual circuit, this paper uses only its simple mathematical modeling and also avoids any complicated calculation procedure.
