Abstract

The article presented here, demonstrates analytical design of a triple vertically coupled optical microring resonator (TVCOMRR) with asymmetrical rings is theoretically designed by applying delay line signal processing method. The frequency response characteristic along with its corresponding group delay characteristic and dispersion characteristic are determined. The performance analysis of TVCOMRR with regard to free spectral range (FSR), crosstalk and FWHM are obtained from the performance characteristics.
