The background of this study is that Islamic educational institutions, especially schools, still experience obstacles in improving the quality of education. This can be seen from various aspects ranging from curriculum objectives, educational personnel, learning methodologies, infrastructure facilities, and evaluation, as a whole still contains problems that until now have not been completely solved. Therefore, in improving the quality of Islamic education in schools, strong leadership from the principal is needed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate: 1) the efforts of principals in improving teacher professionalism, 2) the efforts of principals in improving the quality of educational infrastructure, 3) the efforts of principals in improving the quality of learning processes, and 4) the efforts of principals in improving student achievement at SDIT AZ Jambi. This research uses descriptive- qualitative methods and approaches by using three research instruments, namely interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that: 1) SDIT AZ Jambi has experienced a good improvement in quality. Abstract
Efforts of Principals in Improving the Quality of Islamic Education at SDIT AZ Jambi. 校长在提高伊斯兰教教育质量方面的努力。本研究的背景是伊斯兰教育机构,特别是学校,在提高教育质量方面仍然遇到障碍。这可以从课程目标、教育人员、学习方法、基础设施、评价等各个方面看出,整体上还存在着至今尚未完全解决的问题。因此,在提高学校伊斯兰教育质量方面,需要校长强有力的领导。本研究的目的在于评估:1)校长在提高教师专业素质方面所做的努力;2)校长在提高教育基础设施质量方面所做的努力;3)校长在提高学习过程质量方面所做的努力;4)校长在提高学生成绩方面所做的努力。本研究采用描述-定性的方法和途径,通过三种研究工具,即访谈,观察和文献研究。结果表明:1)SDIT AZ Jambi的质量有了较好的提高。在可靠校长的领导下,SDIT AZ Jambi现在可以成为最前沿的伊斯兰教育机构之一,能够产生高绩效的产出。2)校长在提高教育质量方面的努力,即:a)通过为教师制定规则、量力而行、给予信任和激励、进行辅导来提高教师的专业性。B)通过改善基础设施来提高基础设施的质量,与其他机构/机构合作采购基础设施。c)通过发展伊斯兰教育模式、改进学习方法、管理课程质量来提高学习过程的质量。
