Multilevel inverter became popular in the arena of medium voltage and higher power rating application as the better solution. It generates higher staircase output voltage levels employing lower value of voltage sources with required number of power electronics switches. Switching losses reduces in-return provides better power factor by increasing the levels of output voltage. This work is focused on achieving minimum harmonic distortion with the minimum number of power supplies at low switching frequency using nearest level modulation control strategy for three phase asymmetrical cascaded H-bridge configuration.
