Abstract

This paper presents the performance of the traction system with induction motor and rotor field orientation by voltage control. The synthesized control system was implemented on a physical model developed for the electric traction of a locomotive powered by a battery. After introducing the rotor field-orientation by voltage control, the system model, results and performances are presented. Then, the experimental results validate the proposed control algorithm.
