POZA TEKST? W STRONĘ BADAŃ OPARTYCH NA SZTUCE

Abstract

This article looks atarts-based research ( ABR) as an alternative research paradigm. The context is contemporary problems of the humanities with its main medium - the text. The background to the consideration of the ABR is primarily to think about the text and the contemporary humanities in terms of the laboratory, both as a metaphor for textuality, “working with the text”, and as a model for working in a research team. In the final section, after summarising the main tenets of art-based research, two interpretations of works meeting the ABR criteria are proposed: Worldview by Emma Kay and Smog Poem by Leszek Onak.
