Research on Public Crisis Management of Local Government in New Media Era

Abstract

With the development of information technology, WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Kuaishou and other new media have become more and more the main way for the public to understand public events. New media, with its timeliness, interactivity and openness, has brought opportunities and new challenges to local government's public crisis management. The development of new media accelerates the spread of public crisis, expands the spread range of public crisis, and greatly strengthens the influence of public crisis in time and space. This paper will focus on the analysis of local government public crisis management in the new media era, and make an in-depth study on how local governments can do a good job in public crisis management in the new media era.
