Abstract

In this paper, we propose a Service Mesh based 5G Core network using Cillium container network interface (CNI) plugin. The Service Mesh technology could improve the security and observability of the 5G Core (5GC) network. The proposed design uses the Cillium to improve the performance of Service Mesh applied to the 5Gc network. The proposed design is compared with the normal design by qualitative characteristics.
