Abstract

Vehicle to grid (V2G) communication for conductive charge points is already well established for example by the ISO 15118 standard or the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP). Recently a wireless interoperable power transfer (WiPT) has been developed by the multi manufacturer research consortium InterOp. Manufacturer independent operation has been reached by a technology independent source definition of the wireless power supply and is described within IEC 61980-3 Annex AA. This WiPT definition also includes command & control as well as safety procedures. The compatibility of the WiPT command & control to the already standardized V2G communication are investigated within this paper.
