Abstract

A new approach to simulation modeling of power devices is described. A software package to be used with CAD circuit simulation analysis programs (such as SCAMPER, ASTAP, or SUPER*SCEPTRE) allows the designer to quickly create specific device models using readily available information on manufacturer's data sheets. This package includes a library of generic device models, and a parameter-generating program for each type of device to generate operational parameters needed by the generic models in a circuit simulation.
