Abstract

A phenomenal growth in the mobile communication sector and ever increasing demand for multimedia information has lead to video streaming over mobile network. Upcoming 3rd generation networks, like CDMA-2000, provide high speed for transmission, allowing users have more online services. When video is used in mobile networks, the most important requirements are related to low bit-rates, frame-rates and the screen size of mobile device, along with usual bandwidth, delay and jitter requirements, especially when considering background traffic.
