For this study, 222 school counselors completed the School Counselor Ethical Decision-Making Survey (SCEDMS). Participants were school counselors working in elementary and secondary settings from urban, suburban, and rural environments. The majority of school counselors believed they were trained in the use of ethical decision-making models; however, a small number seemed acquainted with specific models.
