Very High Speed Lans for Medical Imaging

Abstract

This report addresses issues we faxed in our on going work at the Radiology Research Laboratory. These issues are related to communication protocols for very high speed local area networks in a medical imaging environment. In this report we describe the characteristic of the application, solutions utilized in coupling between host system and the network, and protocol design.
