Abstract
The purpose of the study is to present the current state of the mortgage lending system in Armenia, as well as the factors hindering the development of the mortgage lending market. To this end, taking into account the official data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Finance and the Statistical Committee, a systematic analysis was carried out, which revealed the problems of the mortgage lending market, in particular, the low level of monetary income of the population, the growth of non-performing loans, high prices in the real estate market, the high concentration of the mortgage market, and the household debt burden.
