Abstract
The CERN Large Hadron Collider operated during Run 2 (2015-2018) at a beam energy of 6.5 TeV. This period saw an important increase in performance through improvements in the LHC and an increased beam quality from its injectors, leading to a peak luminosity that exceeds the LHC design luminosity by more than a factor two.
