This paper presents an investigation of the personality development for the first five months during the Malaysian-Germany university double degree programme of 2009/2010 batch. The survey participants are UKM engineering students who went to UDE and UKM engineering students who remained in UKM to complete their studies. The study investigates the personality changes which occur with respect to the changes of environment and culture. Abstract

Since 2003, the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM) and the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) have promoted the double degree programme as an excellent opportunity for student mobility to a foreign university with students finally acquiring two separate degrees from two reputable universities at the end of their study period.
