Spring School: Ethnography of Socialism (Project Report)

Abstract

As a PhD. student of ethnology, I traveled to participate at the project in the Republic of North Macedonia at the beginning of May (1-5, 2019). North Macedonia is a Balkan country which just recently changed its name to open negotiations for accession to the European Union and NATO. I have spent some time in this former Yugoslav republic in the past, so I knew that this country offers many areas and inspiration for ethnological research.
