Abstract
This review article explores the potential of quantum-enabled blockchain technology for distributed data processing and management in smart cities. It provides a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art in both quantum computing and distributed ledger technologies, as well as the challenges facing smart city development. The article discusses how the combination of quantum computing and blockchain technology can address some of these challenges by enabling secure, decentralized, and efficient data processing and management in smart cities. It also highlights the potential benefits of this approach, including increased security, scalability, and transparency, as well as reduced costs and energy consumption. The article examines the various applications of quantum-enabled blockchain technology in smart cities, such as traffic management, energy distribution, and environmental monitoring. Finally, the article discusses the future outlook for this technology and the challenges that must be overcome for it to be successfully implemented in smart cities. Overall, this review article provides a comprehensive and insightful analysis of the potential of quantum-enabled blockchain technology for distributed data processing and management in smart cities, highlighting its potential to transform the way we live, work, and interact in urban environments.
