By the above work, flashover voltages of composite insulators can be enhanced greatly and the composite insulators will have higher utilization rate of the leakage distance. Therefore, the dimension of towers will be decreased and the cost of transmission systems will be reduced, especially in heavy pollution areas. Abstract

Composite insulators' shed plays a very important role in their contamination performance. As we have known, composite insulators with different shed profiles have different contamination flashover performances. In this paper, studies mainly focusing on the optimal design of composite insulators' shed. Based on the results of a great deal of artificial contamination test for specimen composite insulators with different profiles, this paper carried out the relationship between the shed parameter and the contamination flashover voltage. By the above work, flashover voltages of composite insulators can be enhanced greatly and the composite insulators will have higher utilization rate of the leakage distance. Therefore, the dimension of towers will be decreased and the cost of transmission systems will be reduced, especially in heavy pollution areas. Accordingly, this work can provide theoretical support of the external insulation design and the selection of insulators for 1000 kV UHV AC transmission projects in China.
特高压交流复合绝缘子棚架优化研究
复合绝缘子的棚子对绝缘子的污染性能起着重要的作用。众所周知,不同棚型的复合绝缘子具有不同的污闪性能。本文主要对复合绝缘子棚的优化设计进行了研究。在对不同外形的复合绝缘子试样进行大量人工污污试验的基础上,研究了绝缘子棚子参数与污污闪络电压的关系。通过以上工作,可以大大提高复合绝缘子的闪络电压,提高复合绝缘子的漏电距离利用率。因此,塔的尺寸将会减小,输电系统的成本将会降低,特别是在重污染地区。从而为国内1000kv特高压交流输电工程的外绝缘设计和绝缘子的选用提供理论支持。
