Abstract
Device-to-Device (D2D) communication has drawn great interest in academia and industries due to the extended network coverage and reduction of the restrictions of traditional cellular systems. On the other hand, a new paradigm called content-centric networking (CCN) has been proposed for scalable, flexible, and secure services in the future networks. With CCN, it is possible to increase the throughput and efficiency of the content delivery. By the integration of D2D communication and CCN, traffic congestion can be reduced and faster content delivery is possible. In this paper, we propose a fast content access mechanism in the wireless network where there are multiple devices, which is based on CCN and D2D. We use multiple networks to send the requested content simultaneously from multiple devices to one device. Our simulation results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism improves the content delivery time significantly.
