An analysis of the principles of decentralization of the public administration system, the prerequisites and reasons for the transfer of powers to local government bodies, as well as under what conditions it can be carried out, the problems of balancing decentralization and centralization in the public administration system. Abstract

The article deals with questions regarding the concept, essence and importance of the institution of decentralization in the system of public administration, as well as its role in improving the efficiency of local public authorities.
