Abstract
The intrusion of obstacles underside of the vehicle can hinder the Electric Vehicle’s safe wireless power transfer. This paper aims to construct a system to detect when an object passes underside of the vehicle. The Wi-Fi Channel State Information (CSI) is used to estimate changes in the surrounding environment by multipath propagation from the transmitter. The multipath propagation changes due to the radio wave reflection and diffraction. To make multipath propagation, we used three transmit and three receive antennas underside of the vehicle and measure the CSI. Then, we analyzed the variation value of CSI caused by the passage of objects underside of the vehicle. Using CSI variation values derived from the measured CSI amplitude component’s correlation matrix, judged whether an object was passed underside of the vehicle.
