During the Internet-euphoria, Business model has beenen vogue, mainly in the domain of e-commence and e-business.Based on an extensive review of business model literature, thepaper analyzes and defines software enterprise business modelcomposition and construction for Software DevelopmentEnterprise and Software Sales Enterprise in light of SaaS-basedidea, service profit chain theory and the four “pillars”framework. On the software industry chain, the softwaredevelopment enterprise should make devotion to applicationservices by building business models suitable for enterpriseresources, procedures and values, according to the technicaldevelopment and user demand change; the software salesenterprise should devote to capture user's personalized demand to increase users' satisfaction for its core business based on the service chain theory.
