Abstract

This paper represents the economic load dispatch (ELD) problem, which is solved by a current optimization technique is known as a chaotic biogeography-based optimization (CBBO) algorithm in the power system. Here in ELD problems, the nonlinear characteristics are ramp rate limits prohibited zones and valve point discontinuities taken.
