Abstract

This paper presents four game-based learning designs with focus on situated development of students' creativity and active participation in the learning process. Presented cases are based on role-play, interdisciplinary team work and co-creation, using games and gamification as additional motivation to engage students in project and problem based learning. The reported case studies are from formal learning settings at the university from bachelor and master level and nonformal learning setting with open access to everyone.
