Abstract
Appropriate modeling of aggregate loads is of primary importance in voltage stability analysis. In this paper, a static model of aggregate power load suitable for whole voltage range is studied. A dynamic model of aggregate load with the characteristics of power recovery and instability is also discussed. The above model uses equivalent admittance as essential variable, discovers the internal and essential property of synthetic load. Therefore it could be applied for any place where the effects of load must be considered, especially voltage stability studies. An improved direct algorithm used for model parameter identification is also proposed. The simulated examples are provided to show the ability of the model to describe actual load and the feasibility of the algorithm.
