A Modelagem Matemática na Formação Inicial do Professor de Matemática nos Cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática da Amazônia Legal

Abstract

Este artigo tem por finalidade identificar nas Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) da Rede Amazônica de Educação em Ciências e Matemática (REAMEC), quais cursos trabalham os conceitos e a metodologia da Modelagem Matemática. A pesquisa identificou que das 30 (trinta) IES que compõem a Rede REAMEC, 21 (vinte e uma) oferecem o Curso de Licenciatura em Matemática, das quais somente uma IES não aborda a Modelagem Matemática na sua matriz curricular de formação inicial. A pesquisa teve uma abordagem qualitativa por entender que esse tipo de pesquisa fornece informações mais descritivas. O trabalho buscou mostrar uma breve abordagem da Educação Matemática e dos principais conceitos da Modelagem Matemática. Os resultados apontam que a Modelagem Matemática é um campo da formação inicial em Matemática e na região da Amazônia Legal, os Cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática que compõem a Rede REAMEC alinham a Modelagem Matemática a outros componentes curriculares. Neste contexto, existe espaço para avançar na direção de inserir a Modelagem Matemática como campo de formação para a Educação Básica. Palavras-chave: Modelagem Matemática. Formação Inicial. AbstractThis article aims to identify the Higher Education Institutions (HEI) of the Amazon Network of Mathematics and Science Education (REAMEC), which courses work the concepts and methodology of Mathematical Modeling. The research identified that of the 30 (thirty) HEIs that make up the REAMEC Network, 21 (twenty-one) offer the Degree Course in Mathematics, of which only one HEI does not address Mathematical Modeling in its initial training curriculum. The research had a qualitative approach because this type of research provides more descriptive information. The work sought to show a brief approach to Mathematics Education and the main concepts of Mathematical Modeling. The results indicate that Mathematical Modeling is a field of initial training in Mathematics, and in the Legal Amazon region, the Mathematics courses that make up the REAMEC Network align Mathematical Modeling with other curricular components. In this context, there is room to move towards the insertion of Mathematical Modeling as a field of training for Basic Education. Keywords: Mathematical Modeling. Initial Training. Legal Amazon.
