It happens again and again: teams put together innovative solutions aimed at helping communities in underdeveloped areas with problems, and those thoughtful recommendations are rejected. Or they are accepted “in theory” but not maintained once the technologists go back home. Instead, engineers are confused, community liaisons are disappointed, and progress stalls.
