Abstract

In this paper, a compact rectangular microstrip dual frequency antenna is presented for wireless local area networks (WLAN) application in IEEE802.11a standard operating in the 2.4/5.2. The proposed design is achieved by loading two pairs of slits in the non-radiating edges. By increasing the length of the slits, the higher resonant frequencies are tuned.
