Abstract

Ten thousand vehicles were measured at each test frequency, 50 MHz and 153 MHz, using land mobile receivers with a NADME unit (Noise Amplitude Distri­ bution Measurement Equipment) which was used to indicate peak noise levels. A standard dipole was positioned three meters above the ground and ten meters from a single lane exit ramp. Except for the ignition noise created by the vehicles on the exit ramp, the measurement site was quiet.
