The approach was quantitative and qualitative. For the analysis of the results, descriptive statistics were used. Abstract

The objective was to demonstrate the environmental perception of students of a Technical Course Integrated to High School, from IFMA - Campus Coelho Neto in relation to solid waste and the problem involved mainly due to improper disposal and rampant consumption that leads to an exorbitant increase in waste generated. , as well as understanding how this topic has been addressed in the teaching process. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing 11 objective, multiple-choice questions, applied to 48 students from two classes of the 3rd year of the Technical Course in Informatics, online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
