The Event-B model has been formally specified by Rodin and verified by theorem provers. Some aspects were simulated to showcase the flow of traffic through the day. Abstract

In the modern day of transport, the traffic light is important to safety on the road. However, not all traffic lights are built safely, and are subject to malfunctioning. With the use of formal methods, systems can be designed to be faultless in deployment. With the use of Event-B, a common formal method for formal modelling and the assistance of Rodin, a tool for Event-B, a traffic light system model was designed with safety and functionality in mind.
