Abstract
The present study aimed at analyzing the developmental impacts of the uses of Big Data, while stating the importance of big data for the Kuwaiti economy and identifying the most important specific development sectors that could benefit from it. Through the inductive approach and by using the analytical tool, it was found that big data provides many benefits to the development process until the term big data for development BD4D appeared, and this knowledge played a major role in increasing economic activity and living standards. There is a close relationship between data and sustainable development. Hence, big data can help bring about economic diversification in Kuwait. Information and communication technology has paid attention and placed it at the heart of the government's 2035 strategy, New Kuwait, which was launched in 2017. As for the indicators, the number of mobile phone connections in Kuwait to 7.38 million calls in January 2020. The number of individuals who use the Internet increased from the population during the period (1990-2019), from zero to 99.5%. Cloud computing revenue in Kuwait is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 18.6% over the forecast period to reach $ 1.6 billion by 2024.
