Abstract

The article deals with education as a socio-cultural phenomenon, the most important form of the life of society, which determines all its other spheres. The authors emphasize that the main function of education is the formation of a humanized society, i.e. the formation of high-quality cultural human potential. In this context, the relationship between education and culture is analyzed. Various opinions and approaches to education as a cultural phenomenon are revealed. An important place is given to the humanization, humanization of education.
