Abstract
Currently, antiretroviral agents are administered in a fixed dosage style. Sampling is usually done before therapy is initiated in order to decide when therapy will be initiated, then again 2-8 weeks after the initiation of therapy to assess the initial effect of therapy. The paper presents a model predictive control approach to therapy dosage scheduling when blood samples are taken at a parameter dependent fixed interval
