HAPPINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Throughout its existence, man has tried to satisfy its needs as best he could. Therefore, he had to provide a permanent development of his activity, socially, technically, and economically to achieve the desired level of well-being. In the context of society, the well-being of the individual is influenced by the economic choices of public authorities. Economic policy is a set of objectives and tools through which the state acts on economic variables, in order to maintain, restore or change the economic and social climate. Economic growth is a priority objective of any economic policy, because it influences the rate of employment and inflation, the level of income and welfare of the population and therefore the level of happiness of individuals. The aim of this paper is to highlight the relationship between the idea of happiness of the individual, and the economic development of the society to which he belongs. The analysis is based on the concept of economic growth, which accompanies the economic development of any society, regardless of the degree of development.
