Especially in the banking sector, employees face great stress due to many stress antecedents like lack of support from supervisors, great pressure of work, problematic co-workers relationship and family and work life conflicts. All these stressors lead to low organizational commitment and absenteeism. The aim of this study is to check the impact of job stress on organizational commitment in the banking sector. For this purpose, 30 questionnaires were filled by the employees of 3 different banks. Results demonstrate the negative and significant relationship between job stress and organizational commitment.
