Abstract
Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) is the optimal choice for systematic utilization of the radio spectrum. The objective behind CRN is to permit Secondary Users (SUs) to transmit their data opportunistically in the nonexistence of Primary Users (PUs). In CRN, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is employed for signaling due to its efficiency and easy implementation. The drawback in using OFDM is its sidelobes that causes Out of Band (OOB) radiations, which results interference to the PU's. In order to reduce OOB radiations we have proposed Modified Generalize Sidelobe Canceller (MGSC). In our proposed technique the optimization part of the adaptive weight vector of conventional Generalize Sidelobe Canceller (GSC) is done by using Differential Evolution (DE). The effectiveness and reliability of our proposed technique is shown with the help of MATLAB simulation. Our proposed technique shows better results in comparison with existing techniques.
