Abstract
In the recent years, there is an increasing focus on studies concerning student's engagement in the tertiary education. Student's engagement in learning is important to guarantee a good academic result. Thus it is important to encourage engagement from students in the learning process as the more engaged the students is, the better the absorption of the knowledge a student will receive. Previous literatures stated that there are many factors that are leading to enhancing student's engagement in learning process. Among others are the relationship between students and lecturers and blended learning. Thus this research explores the factors enhancing student's engagement in learning processes through their participation in blended learning as well as lecturer students' relationship. A quantitative survey questionnaire was developed which explores the behaviour, experiences, perspectives and feelings of respondents towards their engagement in learning. Descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were applied in this study in order to measure the independent and dependent variables relationship. Based on data from the sample of 329 students in a faculty of Business management in a Public University in Selangor, the objectives are achieved as the results show that there are a positive and significant relationship between blended learning satisfaction and student engagement as well relationship between lecturer support and student engagement.
