Citrullus Colocynthis a Prospective Antimicrobial and Antifungal Agent

Abstract

This research work studied the potential antimicrobial and antifungal effects of Citrullus colocynthis against some standard pathogens. Ethanol and hexane extracts of fruit and seeds of Citrullus colocynthis were tested and proved as effective some bacteria and fungi. The research concluded that this plant can be a useful source for antimicrobial agents.
