The competence-based approach orients the teacher towards attracting students to independent research activities, allows them to understand and understand the importance of the discipline in a new way, to form students’ readiness to use the acquired knowledge, skills and methods of activity to solve practical problems and vital situations; which becomes especially relevant in the context of distance learning. The meaning of the competence-based approach is to create conditions for the formation of students’ experience in research activities through an independent solution of cognitive, communicative, organizational and other problems. At the same time, Law possesses rich capabilities and assumes a wide research field. Abstract
