Abstract
Under dynamic topology, AODV protocol can't solve the question of end-to-end quality of service of ad hoc networks caused by frequent route break efficiently. Aiming at the question, a multipath routing protocol applying to dynamic topology environment, which is named as Dynamic Topology-Multipath AODV(DT-MAODV), is proposed in this paper. It adopts link-disjoint path strategy to set up many backup routes, and when a route breaks, it firstly takes advantage of available local backup paths to recover it in order to decrease frequency of route rebuilding. At the same time, data salvage mechanism is also introduced to increase delivery ratio of data packets. Simulation results show that DT-MAODV decreases end-to-end delay, delay jitter and packet loss rate efficiently and improves the adaptability to dynamic topology, compared with AODV protocol.
