Together with the Romanian army and Russian military corps Serbian volunteers(nearly 20,000 soldiers), most of them from Banat, showed an exceptional spirit of sacrifice for the fulfilment ofthe national ideal and scored unmatched pages of military glory in the common struggle for unity and building of new national states.
