Abstract

Response particles like English yes and no are expressions that allow for agreeing or disagreeing reactions to polar questions and assertions. Despite their apparently simple function, there is considerable variation between and within languages when they are used with antecedents that contain a negation. The article gives an overview of recent accounts and experimental insights. It discusses two major approaches: One that considers response particles as grammatical reflexes of clauses, and one for which they are anaphoric expressions.
反应粒子:是和不是的奥秘
像英语中的“是”和“否”这样的反应助词是用来表达对极端问题和断言的同意或不同意的反应。尽管它们的功能看似简单,但当它们与包含否定的先行词一起使用时,在语言之间和语言内部存在相当大的差异。文章给出了最近的帐户和实验见解的概述。它讨论了两种主要的方法:一种认为反应小品是分句的语法反射,另一种认为它们是回指表达。
