[Phenomenology of behavior and unusual mental states of operators during forced wakefulness].

Abstract

This paper presents the results of studying the functional state and mental performance of operators during three sleepless days when they worked in a highly motivated manner. It describes the phenomenology of behavior and variations of psychic states as a function of the experimental time. It gives a general characterization of asomnia-induced changes in operator's state. It discusses the effect of individual features of the psychic status of man on his tolerance of extended forced vigilance and reliability as an operator.
