The comparison is done on the basis of total harmonic distortions in the output voltage of the inverter. The modulation strategy used for switching is unipolar pulse width modulation due to its fixed switching frequency and low ripple contents. The input supply to the induction motor is the output of the inverter, so the output of induction motor totally depends on the inverter supplying to it. For various inverter topologies total harmonic distortion is an important parameter for the selection of the inverter.
