Abstract

With the rapid development of computer science and technology, revolutionary changes have taken place in the field of art. As the background of today, traditional works of art are offered to the public as digital art forms in the digital age. Although this design concept is in the development phase, digital technologies continue to be widely used in art today. On the other hand, it turns out that the artistic meaning and classification of the resulting products is becoming more difficult from day to day. In this context, some appreciate reshaping traditional arts using digital data in virtual environments and those who interpret it as a destructive, self-deprecating act in the field of traditional arts. This study aims to discuss how new artistic approaches affect traditional art and Turkish art, especially at the point where technology and digitization emerged. Reshaping traditional arts in digital environments using technological data is important to carry these arts into the future. This study is a qualitative study limited to the works of Turkish artists interested in digital art, and the data was collected through articles, books, and exhibition designs. The creative effects of digitization and technology on these art branches were examined based on artists and their works by giving definitions, data, and information on the marbling, calligraphy, illumination, and miniature works of art that belong to the Turkish arts.
