Research on the difference of head calibration between the THOR 50M dummy and HYBRID III 50th dummy

Abstract

In order to explore the difference between the head calibration of the THOR 50M dummy and the HYBRID III 50th dummy, the head structure of the two dummies are compared and analyzed, and then the calibration methods are compared, and the calibration performance indexes of the two dummies are compared. The results show that the head structure of the THOR 50M dummy is more complex than that of the HYBRID III 50th dummy, The head part of the THOR 50M dummy is three times that of the Hybrid III 50 dummy; The head calibration of the THOR 50M dummy consists of two parts, the forehead and the face, while the HYBRID III 50th dummy consists of only one part of the head. In the aspect of calibration performance index, the head calibration limits of the THOR 50M dummy and the HYBRID III 50th dummy are different, and the number of calibration indexes is also different. The calibration indexes of the THOR 50M dummy are more comprehensive.
