Total cycle time is the combined effect of the cycle times of all business processes, from the time a need exists until it is satisfied. It drives three key elements of competitiveness: responsiveness, results acceleration, and resource minimization. It is concluded that total cycle time reduction forces quality improvements to the bottom line.
