In monocytes, the granules were remarkably positive for lysozyme. In eosinophils, the granules were positive for lysozyme, but crystalloids negative. In some reticulum cells, phagolysosomes contained small amount of lysozyme. Abstract

Ultrastrutural localization of lysozyme in human blood cells which were obtained from 10 nonmal volunteers was investigated by electron microscopy applying an immunogold staining method.The presence of lysozyme was demonstrated as the deposition of gold particles by this staining.
